I love the beginning of the school year! Running to find out which teacher you have, who is in your class, it is a time of change and celebration as you move on to the next school year. It's a new beginning. Now that I am full time here at DeSales, I have more time to do some very exciting things! I have implemented a program called Snack Guidance. As the school counselor, I will visit each classroom (Grades 1-4) on a weekly basis for a guidance lesson. Grade 5, I will meet with every other week. I will visit during their snack time, this way it doesn't interefere with instruction. The school counselor works with all students and this will help me reach more of our students at DeSales. Each month will be a different topic (character ed based). Speaking of changes, our topic for September will be New Beginnings.
